Role Description

The Project Manager - Database Services Transformation will be responsible for overseeing a major transformation initiative. Key responsibilities include:

• Build and manage an integrated plan across all transformation pillars.
• Convert ambiguity into workstreams, owners, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and exit criteria.
• Establish clear accountability between service providers, technical owners, business consumers, and executive sponsors.
• Drive workstream leads to own outcomes without requiring director-level escalation.
• Escalate early with options and recommendations, not just status updates.
• Manage resistance from divisions, application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with executives while maintaining technical depth to challenge assumptions.
• Manage vendor deliverables and third-party dependencies.
• Define success measures, acceptance criteria, and benefits realization plans.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or shared-services transformation programs.
• Strong program planning: scope, schedule, milestones, resources, and deliverables.
• Risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management with timely escalation.
• Experience establishing program governance, decision forums, and executive steering committee updates.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and drive delivery without direct reporting authority.
• Stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and adoption planning.
• Working knowledge of IT service management: incident, problem, change, and service level management.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements

• Database Operations experience.
• PMP or PgMP certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Cloud certifications.
