Role Description
The Project Manager - Cybersecurity Services is tasked with planning, executing, and delivering cybersecurity projects. This role ensures that cybersecurity projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, all while meeting the quality and security standards required by the organization and its clients.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and technical leads.
- Develop project plans outlining timelines, tasks, and resource requirements.
- Lead the day-to-day management of cybersecurity project delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute against the plan.
- Serve as the primary liaison for project stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and document project risks and issues.
- Manage project budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery.
- Ensure a smooth delivery of cybersecurity services as projects transition from implementation to operational support.
- Uphold quality standards for project deliverables.
- Manage project scope and changes through change control processes.
- Maintain thorough project documentation including work plans, risk logs, decision registers, and status reports.
- Lead or participate in post-project reviews/retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience.
- Experience with agile as well as waterfall and other project management methodologies.
- ITIL, PMP/Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma, PgMP, CISM, CISSP, or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A team player who can lead by influence.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements or shifts in client priorities.
- Prior exposure to a service delivery or managed services environment is beneficial.
Requirements
- Experience in projects involving Microsoft cybersecurity solutions (such as Microsoft 365 security suite, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, or similar) is an advantage.
- Ability to translate technical information into business terms.
- Detail-oriented in tracking tasks, issues, and project details.
- Adept at identifying potential obstacles or risks early and facilitating collaborative solutions.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and encouraging a cooperative working atmosphere.
- Comfortable working within agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery models as required by the project.
- Commitment to delivering value and positive outcomes for clients as well as internal stakeholders.
