Role Description

Client's Professional Services team is looking for a proactive, customer-facing Project Manager to deliver implementation, migration, and professional services engagements across our products and solutions. You will help customers move onto the platform—whether they are migrating from another provider or deploying greenfield—while managing a portfolio of 15–20 concurrent mid-size to large engagements from kickoff to closure.

You will own the scope, schedule, and budget against a Statement of Work (SOW) or Service Delivery Description (SDD), working closely with client's consultants, account teams, and customer stakeholders. As a self-starter, you will build strong customer relationships, spot issues early, and drive them to resolution.

This is a six-month contract with the potential for extension. Austin, TX, is preferred; however, we are open to other AMER locations for highly qualified candidates. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to specific project demands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years managing customer-facing projects in professional services, consulting, or implementation delivery at a technology or SaaS company.
• Proven experience managing 10+ concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.
• Hands-on experience delivering against an SOW or service description, including managing change requests and project financials (hours, burn rate, and forecasting).
• Working knowledge of waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies, as well as PMI/PMBOK practices.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills with customer stakeholders up to the director level.
• Experience handling escalations and difficult conversations calmly, professionally, and with urgency.
• Strong sense of ownership: proactive, organized, and effective in a fast-moving environment where processes are continually evolving.
• Technical literacy in networking and security concepts (e.g., DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS, Zero Trust/SASE) with the ability to follow technical discussions and understand migration dependencies.
• Proficiency with Jira, Salesforce, and a PSA tool (e.g., Certinia, Kantata, ServiceNow SPM), alongside Smartsheet or MS Project.

Requirements

• Select the right delivery approach (waterfall, agile, or hybrid) for each engagement in alignment with PMI standards.
• Run customer-facing governance, including kickoff meetings, project plans, status reports, RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions), and executive updates.
• Drive deliverables to completion and secure formal customer acceptance and sign-off.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Consultants, Solutions Engineers, Account Executives, CSMs, Support, and Partners) to keep work on track and remove blockers.
• Manage risks and escalations, including migration and cutover risks, raising issues early with clear options and recommendations.
• Ensure clean handoffs from Sales to Delivery at the start of each engagement, and from Delivery to Customer Success at closure.
• Maintain accurate project data in Jira, Salesforce, and PSA tools to give leadership clear visibility into project health, utilization, and forecasting.
• Leverage AI tools to work more efficiently, automating routine tasks like status reports and meeting notes.
