Role Description

Mathematica is seeking a project manager who manages a portfolio of complex projects and proposals focused on policy research related to human services programs. In this role, the project manager supports project directors in all aspects of project management, including:

• Day-to-day project activities
• Resource and schedule management
• Risk management

The project manager helps teams stay organized, monitor budgets and schedules, track deliverables, and identify and address potential challenges. The Project Manager may lead process-oriented tasks. Additionally, the project manager gains expertise in public policy topics and liaisons with clients and internal project teams. Successful candidates will bring:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, management, public policy, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• At least three years of relevant experience in project management, project coordination, operations, or a related role. An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
• Experience with Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of project management concepts.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with people in different roles and across teams.
• Experience coordinating project activities, tracking schedules, monitoring budgets, or supporting project operations.

Requirements

• This position offers an anticipated base salary of $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
