Role Description

Reporting to the Executive Director-Strategic Initiatives, the Project Manager-Grant Funded Initiatives (PT Exempt Remote) provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day execution of a multi-year grant-funded initiative at the college. This position is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and grant objectives.

The Project Manager exercises independent judgment and initiative in managing project operations, including:

• Setting priorities
• Allocating resources
• Making operational decisions
• Mitigating risk
• Resolving issues

This is a fully remote position and is grant funded through September 30, 2028. All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed virtually.

Essential Duties

• Direct and manage a complex, multi-year grant-funded initiative, providing overall leadership and accountability for managing project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including project charter development, strategic planning, implementation, performance monitoring, risk mitigation, issue resolution, change management, and project closeout.
• Establish effective project governance structures, decision-making processes, and performance frameworks.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, workstreams, resource allocations, and performance measures.
• Serve as the primary liaison to executive leadership, grant sponsors, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization.
• Establish and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), success metrics, and project outcome measures.
• Lead cross-functional teams by assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and promoting accountability.
• Prepare and present executive-level reports, recommendations, and project status updates.
• Analyze project outcomes and organizational impact, recommending process improvements.
• Utilize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer service excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience required, preferably in project management, program management, grant administration, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered at the discretion of management.
• Employees working remotely are responsible for providing a stable internet environment with a connection speed of at least 300 megabytes per second (Mbps).
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing grant-funded projects or complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote work environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Requirements

• Salary: $32,500 annually.
• Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
