Role Description

Are you an experienced IT Project Manager? Do you have at least one successful end-to-end implementation of Local Authority software under your belt? Let Informed Recruitment help you to achieve your potential with an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to replace a legacy application portfolio with a new integrated system.

The purpose of the role is to work closely with both non-technical and technical members of the team to ensure the production of project deliverables by managing:

• Project scoping
• Project planning
• Resource planning
• Risk management
• Issue management
• Stakeholder management
• Budget management

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Creation of project plans
• Monitoring project progress/timelines
• Adjusting schedules while managing stakeholder expectations
• Resolving issues
• Taking responsibility for technical design documentation
• Facilitating requirement gathering
• Managing user acceptance testing
• Conducting review sessions
• Negotiating deliverables

Qualifications

• A successful commercial track record in Project Management
• Leading project teams and implementing projects and IT solutions on time, to budget and with quality
• Experience implementing at least one local authority application (Such as Revenues & Benefits, Citizen Access, Social Care, Education, Social Housing, Finance, CRM, or similar)
• Experience leading data improvement programmes

Requirements

• Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP (Nice to Have)
• Strong organisation skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure
• Deliver to deadlines
• Proactive with a pragmatic, analytical and logical mind
• Comfortable engaging and influencing at all levels, with third party stakeholders and at executive level
• Mobile and prepared to travel to sites when necessary
