[Hiring] Project Engineer 1 @Tighe & Bond

Role Description

As a Project Engineer 1, you will join our One Water Team in either our Portsmouth, NH, Portland, ME, or Manchester, NH offices, where you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Working with industry experts, you’ll tackle complex challenges that strengthen community resilience and advance environmental sustainability.

• Assist with the development of drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, and reports, from conceptual planning to construction
• Engage in technical discussions about design approaches, budget considerations, and schedule, promoting achievement of client goals on both design-bid-build and design-build projects
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary project teams to develop high-quality deliverables that align with client needs and regulatory requirements
• Delegate tasks effectively, mentoring staff engineers, and managing priorities to meet project milestones
• Participate in field work, including site visits, data collection and some construction observation
• Uphold Tighe & Bond’s commitment to excellence by delivering innovative and sustainable wastewater solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• At least five years of consulting engineering experience with increasing responsibility in the wastewater industry
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within six months
• Enthusiasm for learning, self-motivation, and strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit on water or wastewater infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers (preferred)

Pay Range

USD $80,418.00 - USD $105,549.00 /Yr.
