[Hiring] Program Manager IV @Centene Corporation

Role Description

This is a fully remote position and the candidate can be located anywhere in the US.

The Program Manager IV is responsible for all aspects of the planning and delivery of strategic programs and complex, large-scale enterprise-wide projects to execute defined requirements and meet company strategic objectives. This role provides leadership, direction, and hands-on support to matrixed teams to ensure the successful completion of complex integration initiatives. The Program Manager IV is also responsible for creating and presenting executive level communications to provide program updates and facilitate cross functional executive level discussion.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Lead large scale, cross functional projects for implementation or process improvement.
• Oversee all aspects of program planning, management, and execution (scope, schedule, and budget).
• Create comprehensive timelines and ensure the project team creates and maintains appropriate deliverables while following project management standards.
• Drive large scale projects by coordinating the work of one or more project managers/business analysts.
• Create meaningful dashboards for executive level update and project status.
• Create and deliver best practice and training information to indirect reports, peers, and other employees.
• Prepare and deliver documents for Program Steering Committees to the Executive team.
• Proactively manage areas such as risk, budget/forecast, dependencies, etc.
• Serve as the first escalation point for project issues and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of Program or Project Management experience required.
• Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross-functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management tools required.
• Healthcare experience and/or managed care experience preferred.

Requirements

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
• 6+ years of program or project management experience preferred.
• Experience leading complex healthcare transformation across functions, markets, products, or platforms.
• Proven ability to personally build and execute portfolio roadmaps, program plans, governance, business cases, and implementation strategies.
• Ability to turn evolving strategy into work products, milestones, owners, dependencies, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong executive communication, decision facilitation, risk management, escalation, and stakeholder skills.
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Duals, D-SNP, Care Management, integrated care, or health-plan operations.
