Role Description

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful execution, integration, delivery, sustainment, and lifecycle management of a complex multinational Satellite Communications (SATCOM) program supporting NATO communications capabilities. This position provides leadership and oversight across all program activities, including:

• System integration
• Deployment
• Logistics support
• Configuration management
• Cybersecurity compliance
• Quality assurance
• Technical documentation
• Training development
• Long-term in-service support

The Program Manager serves as the primary interface between the customer, subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership, ensuring all contractual, technical, schedule, cost, and performance objectives are achieved. This role requires extensive experience managing defense communications programs, leading cross-functional teams, mitigating program risk, and delivering mission-critical capabilities in support of military and government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Program Management, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of program management experience supporting defense, aerospace, telecommunications, SATCOM, or military communications programs.
• Experience managing programs valued at $10M+ with multiple stakeholders and geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven experience managing system integration, deployment, sustainment, and lifecycle support programs.
• Demonstrated success leading customer-facing defense or government contracts.
• Strong understanding of Program Management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with risk management, integrated scheduling, resource planning, and performance measurement.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes and configuration management.
• Understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) and logistics management concepts.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance required at time of employment.
• Up to 25% domestic and international travel.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Benefits

• Compensation range: $137,742 - $177,742 annually (dependent upon experience).
• Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience.
• Additional incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package.
