Role Description

AssetWorks is looking for a Professional Services Team Lead to oversee client implementations and the team who executes these.

  • Supervises day-to-day activities of direct reports for the successful execution of project delivery services.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Minimizes AssetWorks’ exposure and risk on projects.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Tracks and approves team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Monitors utilization of direct reports and adjusts assignments as necessary.
  • Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding issue escalation.
  • Evaluates direct reports and counsels them as necessary to improve performance.
  • Effectively applies AssetWorks’ methodology and enforces that project standards are followed by direct reports.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately by direct reports.
  • Understands revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-complete projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Understands AssetWorks’ pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Monitors forecasts for direct reports and reaches out to the PMO for needed adjustments; attends bi-weekly PMO forecasting meetings to speak to resource assignments and contribute to locking in an accurate quarterly forecast.
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Enters time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner.
  • Enforces standard policies and procedures.
  • Holds regular bi-weekly 1:1’s and project status meetings with direct reports.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors and other departments (Development, Support, QA, Sales).
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  • Effectively conveys AssetWorks’ message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Assists direct manager with the quoting process as needed.
  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
  • Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
  • Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
  • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
  • Leads project and product orientation sessions.
  • Conducts and documents requirements definition and fit/gap analysis.
  • Leads current and future state business process assessment workshops.
  • Consults with customers related to system setup and configuration.
  • Prepares and executes test plans.
  • Prepares training documentation and materials.
  • Delivers training to client team (system administrator, trainers, end users).
  • Provides go-live preparation and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in implementation project delivery.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the project life cycle.
  • Ability to effectively lead a team of consultants.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization (C-level to line employee).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project (a plus), and Visio.
