[Hiring] Operations Manager @Assets Under Movement

Role Description

The Families and Workers Fund (FWF) seeks an Operations Manager to join our team. This role is part of our Operations/Program Team and reports to the Managing Director of Operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic ownership of operating procedures and grant lifecycles.
• Implementing and maintaining up-to-date accounting and financial software.
• Management of contracts and honoraria.
• Coordination of internal and external events.

The Operations Manager will oversee core systems for our overall organizational operations with a focus on:

• Grantee relationships and coordination.
• Budgets, contracts, and payment administration.
• Project and event management.

The ideal candidate will be expected to balance execution with strategic ownership and demonstrate both a deep commitment to equity and the desire to proactively contribute to updating our systems and processes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, nonprofit management, grant administration, finance, or a related field, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience with data management, budgets, financial processes, and/or forecasting, with a demonstrated ability to design and improve systems.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication (listening, verbal, and written) and relationship-building skills.
• Dedication to collaborative ways of working in alignment with FWF culture and norms.
• Comfort working in a startup environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
• Values and seeks to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word and/or Google Workspace.
• Must be available to work U.S. Eastern Time Zone 9 am ET to 5 pm ET.
• Must have regular and dependable internet access.

Benefits

• The starting salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 commiserate with experience.
