[Hiring] Okta Technical Project Manager @KeyData Cyber

Role Description

KeyData Cyber is looking for an experienced Okta Technical Project Manager to join our Delivery team and lead the successful execution of Okta-based Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation projects for our clients. This role requires a combination of strong project management capabilities, technical understanding of the Okta platform, and proven experience managing client-facing software implementation engagements.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, Okta Architects, Engineers, technical leads, and internal leadership to oversee project execution, coordinate technical workstreams, manage dependencies, and ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Lead Okta implementation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Oversee Okta implementation projects and technical workstreams, ensuring alignment with solution architecture, project objectives, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with Okta Architects, Engineers, and technical teams to manage implementation activities, technical dependencies, integrations, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with technical leads to track Okta configuration, integration, customization, and deployment activities, ensuring adherence to agreed project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
• Facilitate discussions between clients and technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables for Okta-based IAM solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and proactively address delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Identify and manage technical risks, integration challenges, and implementation dependencies, driving resolution and escalating issues where necessary.
• Oversee project readiness, testing, deployment, and go-live activities, ensuring a smooth implementation and transition to post-implementation support.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and escalations to clients and leadership through regular project updates and governance meetings.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, technical teams, third-party vendors, and internal leadership.
• Manage resource allocation and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and delivery.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience managing technical software implementation projects in a client-facing consulting or enterprise technology environment.
• Experience managing Okta implementation projects, preferably involving Workforce Identity, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, application integrations, or related IAM capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the Okta platform, its implementation lifecycle, integrations, and technical dependencies.
• Ability to work closely with Okta Architects and Engineers and understand technical discussions, implementation progress, and delivery challenges.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Experience managing and influencing senior-level client relationships and setting appropriate expectations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and risk management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project escalations, resolve delivery challenges, and drive accountability across technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• PMP certification.
• Okta Certification (Professional, Administrator, Consultant, or Architect).
• Experience delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Identity Security projects.
• Experience working within cybersecurity consulting, enterprise software implementation, or professional services environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing enterprise application integrations, identity migrations, and complex implementation programs.
