[Hiring] Network Engineering Lead @JLL

Role Description

An experienced Senior Network Engineering Manager is being sought to cover Program and Project Management delivery on-site for Networking Engineering, Cabling, and ELV (extra low voltage) Projects in Chon Buri, Thailand for our client’s Data Centre Campus. He/she should be an able practitioner, who will have experience in technical project scoping, procurement, support funding approvals, delivery and execution, and close-out.

This position requires at least 10+ years of experience. This person should also be equipped with advanced knowledge of the procurement, installation, commissioning, management, processes, means, methods of data centre network projects. He/she will have expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.

This candidate will be bi-lingual in English and Thai, technically capable, and a good team player.

Main Responsibilities

• Support Google Regional PM and Project Director on data centre technical fitout projects
• Act as the secondary technical POC for local teams and connect with cross-functional teams (Engineering and IT Operations Teams) for Project deployments in Taiwan
• Support Regional PM for end-to-end responsibility from planning to handover of the fit out works on site
• Resolve issues promptly based on technical requirements or escalate accordingly
• Ensure work is performed safely with high quality of workmanship

Daily Work Tasks

• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of specifications and ordering of materials and equipment are done in a timely manner to ensure approvals are obtained and deployment plans are in place and implemented
• Keep track of and report on key milestones from the commencement of technical fit-out to completion for handover to Operations
• Conduct/drive weekly management and site meetings with GC/AE/Telecoms Contractors
• Coordinate with local construction project managers to align priorities and site management
• Work with internal teams to manage ordering, delivery and storage of Owner purchased materials (Vienna, Hyena, Fibers, etc.) and parts required for the DC turn ups
• Review and track contractor deliverables
• Perform inspections, surveys & regular site walks
• Maintain checklist/tracker, raise punch items and drive punch list clearance
