Role Description

We are looking for a highly accomplished Lead Technical Program Manager to spearhead complex programs focused on Government Cloud and Security. This role demands deep expertise in public sector government cloud environments, rigorous security compliance frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.

  • Responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and executive teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions for government and national security clients.
  • Translate technical complexities into strategic, actionable insights for executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program management for Government Cloud and Security programs, including deployment of SaaS/PaaS platforms in government cloud environments.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders to shape Government Cloud footprints, implement changes for regulatory compliance, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure in the U.S. Government cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD security controls.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate work across large, distributed teams of software engineers, SREs, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to align on priorities, resolve blockers, technical deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and compliance teams to support ATO (Authorization to Operate) efforts.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities.
  • Support audits, assessments, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reports that highlight project status, milestones, challenges, and outcomes, influencing strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Senior Technical Engineer to lead external meetings with government stakeholders and customer communities.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders, translating technical details into business impact.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of professional experience in the High-Tech Industry, including 8+ years of experience in technical program management or managing Security programs and processes.
  • Experience in public and private cloud engineering.
  • Experience with IaaS/PaaS automation, cloud-native best practices, and hybrid cloud transitions.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects related to compliance such as FedRAMP & IL5, PCI, NIST, and other compliance initiatives.
  • Experience managing large-scale, technically complex programs involving 50+ team members, with a demonstrated ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure projects such as migrations, control planes, and automation pipelines, as well as incident response.
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience working with executives, including presenting strategic plans and program updates to senior leadership.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience in building dashboards and data-driven approach to projects.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and agile/scrum frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree or equivalent experience.

  • Confident in working with executive team members as well as working with security professionals and product owners at all levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking and investigative/problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive self-starter, ability to take initiative, learn quickly and drive operational excellence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and high drive to push projects forward, even in ambiguous or challenging situations.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with an ability to state things simply and persuasively for a variety of audiences - internal, external, business, and technical.
  • Active or prior U.S. Government security clearance, i.e. active TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information) clearance a bonus.
  • Experience supporting federal civilian, DoD, or intelligence community customers.
  • One or more of these certifications: CISM, CISA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, CSM, CSPO.
  • Familiar in different security domains such as Network Security, Application Security, Data Security, Vulnerability Management, Client and Cloud Security.
  • Strong understanding of security controls and how they should be implemented across applications, systems, and internal/cloud platforms.
  • Experience in defining and implementing SLOs/SLIs for large-scale systems.
  • Understanding of setting OKR and managing multiple deliverables.
  • Background in managing incident response processes or chaos engineering programs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps software development methodologies.

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • California: $157,500.00 - $254,350.00 base salary
  • Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $151,200.00 - $213,600.00 base salary
  • Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $151,200.00 - $222,450.00 base salary
  • Washington DC: $157,500.00 - $222,450.00 base salary
  • Ohio: $131,900.00 - $186,275.00 base salary
