[Hiring] Lead Project Engineer @Loenbro

Role Description

Loenbro is building a new Connectivity service line focused on delivering telecom infrastructure solutions for data center and hyperscale environments. As a Lead Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in building this capability from the ground up — shaping processes, supporting early-stage project execution, and helping establish the technical standards and training infrastructure that will scale this business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth, ambiguous environments and wants to help create something from scratch — not step into a fully built system.

Work Structure:

• This is a remote, work-from-home position for your administrative and desk-based engineering tasks.
• This role requires a high degree of field deployment, with travel required 40% to 75% of the time to active hyperscale data centers and construction zones across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project engineering within telecom, connectivity, or data center environments.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar estimating software and the ability to fluently read and interpret blueprints/specifications.
• Deep understanding of Telecom/Connectivity trade scopes, data center environments, and cabling installation standards.
• Deep understanding of Division 27 specifications.
• Ability to accurately maintain internal data systems (Loenbro systems).
• Experience with as-builts, redlines, and project closeout processes.
• Experience using Fluke, EXFO, or similar test equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Ability to design cabling systems adhering to industry standards/Div27 specifications.
• Deep understanding of fiber optic troubleshooting and cleaning methods.

Requirements

• RCDD certification (preferred).
• Exposure to OSP/ISP design (preferred).
• Experience in hyperscale data center environments (preferred).
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments (preferred).
• Ability to travel at least 40% of the time (preferred).
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
• Experience with circuit audits and audit tooling (preferred).
• Optic installation and troubleshooting experience (preferred).
• Experience with MMC terminations/troubleshooting methods (preferred).
