[Hiring] IT Senior Manager - Mayo Collaborative Services Lab Infrastructure @Mayo Clinic

Role Description

This is a limited tenure position with an anticipated end date of June 1, 2027.

The Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure will be responsible for the design, implementation and operational leadership of infrastructure services supporting a laboratory. This role plays a key part in building IT capabilities in a new company, operating independently while remaining aligned with Mayo governance, security, and quality standards during the build and early operational phases.

• Primary accountability for infrastructure services delivered through managed service provider relationships, including:
• Network
• Hosting
• Cloud platforms
• End-user computing
• Foundational security services
• Ensures infrastructure reliability, performance, scalability, and compliance required to support laboratory operations, business continuity, and future growth.
• Establishes and matures infrastructure operating practices, including:
• Monitoring
• Incident response
• Change management
• Disaster recovery
• Capacity planning
• Requires strong operational leadership, vendor management expertise, and experience supporting highly available, mission-critical systems in regulated environments.
• This position is intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of the new company and laboratory.
• Expected to transition to a permanent infrastructure leadership position within a separate company operating independently from Mayo Collaborative Services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading infrastructure services in laboratory, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated environments.
• Ability to operate independently while remaining aligned with a broader enterprise governance, security, and compliance framework.

• Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F1-STEM OPT extension program.
