Role Description

As an IT Project Manager at Hyland, you'll be a key enabler of team performance and delivery β€” guiding agile teams through best practices, removing obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. You'll facilitate meaningful conversations, drive alignment around shared goals, and help teams operate with clarity, focus, and purpose. This is a role for a servant leader who brings strong facilitation skills, a genuine curiosity for learning, and the ability to influence and motivate without formal authority in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Guide teams in low-complexity environments to understand and follow basic agile principles, techniques, and software methodologies.

  • Lead continuous learning events and actively support team development and growth.
  • Guide teams in self-organization, collaborating around goals and objectives, and optimizing the flow of value.
  • Collaborate with and support other team-level leaders on backlog management, team performance, and the delivery of business value.
  • Ensure the identification and removal of impediments using a network of peer relationships and formal channels.
  • Effectively escalate when necessary and proactively reduce team distractions and outside interruptions.
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging metrics to identify and drive intentional change.
  • Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency across the organization.
  • Identify and visualize dependencies impacting planned work.
  • Apply a servant leader mindset to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners toward shared goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Agile practitioner with a first-level Scrum Master certification (PSM I or CSM).
  • Strong understanding of agile principles, techniques, and software development methodologies.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies.
  • Proven competence in team facilitation with the ability to apply a servant leader mindset.
  • Strong collaborative skills applied successfully within a team and across other areas.
  • Sharp, fast learner with intrinsic curiosity and strong business and technology acumen.
  • Ability to teach and apply methodology concepts in a context-sensitive manner.

Requirements

  • Experience guiding teams through self-organization, backlog management, and value delivery in a cross-functional or matrixed organizational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, visualize, and manage dependencies impacting planned work.
  • Experience effectively escalating impediments through both formal and informal channels.
  • Experience leveraging metrics to promote continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience planning and facilitating continuous learning events, team retrospectives, and improvement workshops.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the role.

Benefits

  • Career development resources.
  • Wellbeing programs.
  • Innovation practices.
  • Support for employee initiatives.
  • Alignment of giving campaigns and programs to organizations important to employees.
