Role Description

Leads IT project teams in providing IT solutions to complex, high-impact business problems from project request through implementation of integrated solutions and/or infrastructure services. Has ongoing accountability for all processes, resources, budgets and deliverables related to IT projects.

• Oversees the team of internal and external IT resources as they plan, track and execute the project from start to completion.
• Recommends changes to improve the IT project management methodology.
• Classification into this job family requires approval of an IT Vice President.
• Typically, career level role with deep experience and full understanding of area of specialization, gaining full understanding of one or more related fields; may begin developing specialized depth in a particular area of focus.
• Uses extensive knowledge and experience to solve complex issues and contribute to the development of new programs, processes and techniques.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes work projects and resources with minimal direction.
• Oversees and revises processes in area of responsibility and related fields, resolving complex and unique issues.
• Increasingly proficient in determining and modifying methods and approaches to find solutions.
• Contributes to the development of new projects/programs/processes.
• Expected to operate and work independently; receives minimal guidance even on the most complex issues; consults on issues as needed or requested.
• May train, or mentor others.
• Leads projects requiring representation of the organization to internal and/or external customers or others, providing expertise and driving issue resolution and business solutions.
• Demonstrates increasing thought leadership; experienced resource sought out internally and externally for consultation on area of specialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required.
• Typically, at least 6+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.
