Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Life and Annuity Manager to lead and manage complex initiatives across the life insurance and annuity landscape. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in life and annuity products and a strong understanding of the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) ecosystem, including platforms such as:

• Policy Admin system
• New Business
• Underwriting rules
• Post issue Workflow
• Portals
• Document management systems
• Policy conversions
• Operations

This role demands a seasoned professional with proven project management expertise, capable of driving end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders. You will be expected to manage scope, timelines, risks, and communications, while aligning with client expectations and strategic business goals.

Experience in working within TPA operating models, managing system integrations, platform upgrades, and implementing digital and AI-based initiatives will be a significant advantage. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have BS degree and 5-10 years of experience managing technology projects.
• Agile/Scrum certification and/or PMI certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager with a focus on life insurance and annuity products implementation and TPA operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects in the insurance industry.
• Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• In-depth understanding of life insurance and annuity products, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Develop comprehensive project plans for life and annuity projects, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Leverage expertise in life insurance and annuity products to guide project requirements, design, and implementation.
• Manage cross-functional team members and subject matter experts, including definition of objectives, oversight of execution, and evaluation of performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure all projects adhere to industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Identify potential risks specific to life and annuity projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
• Oversee the quality of project deliverables to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and change requests.
• Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve project-related issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
• Lead the implementation of AI initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and analytics within ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams.
• Ensure AI solutions are integrated seamlessly into existing platforms and workflows.

Benefits

• The posted base salary range is the hiring base salary range for this role: $115K-$120K.
