Role Description

Data Project Manager - Life Sciences - Contract role

Consulting Seniority: Senior Consultant - Senior Manager

Day rate: £450-£525 outside IR35

Project duration: 3 months starting asap (extension likely; interviews 14th and 15th May)

Location: Remote in the UK with ad-hoc travel to London

You'll support programme and project delivery across the full Data Value Office (DVO) portfolio, ensuring effective coordination, governance, and execution across multiple workstreams. Drive alignment between data teams, establish consistent planning and reporting practices, and contribute to the development of the future operating model for DVO delivery.

Tasks

• Cross‑workstream coordination across the 5 pillars of the Data Value Office
• Define and manage plans, including milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues
• Establish and drive structured delivery governance and cadence across all DVO initiatives
• Support the DVO leadership team in designing the operating model for how delivery will be organised, tracked, and run across R&D
• Facilitate communication and alignment across technical, scientific, and product teams
• Ensure consistent progress tracking and stakeholder reporting across the DVO portfolio

Qualifications

• An independent consultant
• Strong project and programme management background (ideally data or technical environments)
• Experience working within the data governance and data management ecosystem
• Experience coordinating teams with mixed profiles (consultants, developers, SMEs, prototype builders)
• Nice to have: 2+ years’ experience in life sciences or pharmaceuticals
