Role Description

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Construction Manager to support our Power Delivery team in the Midwest. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing clean energy projects from the site field office in Rockford, IL, concentrating on field coordination and production, safety, and quality compliance.

• Must be capable of up to 75% travel (e.g. 3 weeks or 15 days per month) by automobile, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation.
• Ability to lodge in public facilities.
• Travel necessary to conduct job duties; must have the ability to drive and proper licensing.
• Potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US.
• Designated per diem in addition to base pay to support living expenses during travel rotation.
• A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred).
• A combination of education & experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
• 5 years of field superintendent/management experience in the solar and/or wind markets.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status).

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and document project activities.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients & customers.
