Role Description

The Commissioning Senior Project Manager provides technical support and leadership to plan, schedule, and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities on a programmatic basis. This person participates in the MEP design review process and functional testing of complex electrical and mechanical systems, focusing on higher level programmatic details.

The role includes developing and evaluating bid proposals, developing commissioning plans and schedules, facilitating communication, and ensuring compliance with owner’s requirements, applicable laws, and specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage all elements of commissioning projects (50%)
• Monitor and control project financials (20%)
• Manage stakeholder relations (25%)
• Perform on-site commissioning activities (5%)

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commissioning, construction procedures, project management, and industry best practices
• Skilled in resource allocation, personnel management, strategic planning, and team coordination
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including direct client interaction and reporting
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and adaptable to client/industry-specific software
• Committed to company and site safety requirements

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles
• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize operational processes
• Ability to work successfully in a remote environment with effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
• Ability to lead project teams of complex scope and coordinate the activities of other personnel
• Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and/or OSHA training as required
