[Hiring] Building Project Manager @Gallagher

Role Description

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Consultant or Building Project Manager to join our growing Business Assist team. This is a home-based role covering the Midlands region, supporting Gallagher commercial clients following property damage incidents such as fire, flood and other insured events.

• Act as a trusted adviser throughout the reinstatement process, from initial site inspection and damage assessment through to contractor procurement, project delivery and final settlement.
• Attend client sites following insured incidents to assess building damage and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare schedules of work and scope repair and reinstatement requirements.
• Manage contractor tender processes, evaluate bids and provide recommendations.
• Lead building repair and reinstatement projects from inception through to completion.
• Monitor costs, challenge quotations and support effective budget management.
• Coordinate contractors, engineers and other specialist consultants.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and act as their primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with Gallagher's wider team of Client Loss Consultants, Surveyors and Forensic Accountants to deliver excellent outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Consultant or Building Project Manager, with responsibility for repair, refurbishment, reinstatement or construction projects.
• Experience managing contractors, procurement activities, tender processes and project delivery.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable working remotely and travelling regularly across the Midlands region to attend client sites.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as MRICS, AssocRICS or MCIOB.
• Experience gained within insurance claims, loss adjusting, reinstatement projects or other insurance-related environments.
• Understanding of the interaction between surveyors, insurers, loss adjusters and policyholders during major property damage claims.
