[Hiring] Assistant Initiative Manager - Commercial Technologies @Center for Energy and Environment

Role Description

The Market Transformation team is looking for an Assistant Initiative Manager to join our growing commercial HVAC team. We are seeking a person who is motivated by our mission to discover and deploy the most effective strategies for reducing energy use and carbon emissions. This person will join our Market Transformation Team and be collaborative, and adaptive in their approach to work and have experience with RTUs, the RTU supply chain, and energy efficiency.

The Assistant Initiative Manager for efficient rooftop units will be responsible for managing and supporting initiative strategies with our internal team and external partners and overseeing market deployment to increase technology adoption. The position will support multiple RTU initiatives and be responsible for supporting:

• Project management and reporting
• Training deployment
• Utility collaboration
• Supply chain collaboration
• Marketing collaboration

This position will report to the RTU Initiative Manager and may also support other commercial technologies as needed.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the commercial HVAC market and technology
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC, energy efficiency, or related industries
• Demonstrated experience with project management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical subject matter
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize
• Strong ability to craft clear and compelling deliverables
• Ability to work effectively and communicate with a variety of teams and external partners
• Desire to work for a mission-driven organization and play a role in addressing climate challenges
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI tools to improve efficiency, support analysis, and streamline workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field required
• Experience with developing work plans, coordinating/managing the work of others, and responsibility for producing work products
