Role Description

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced 4D Construction Project Scheduler for a long-term independent contractor basis. This role involves continuous collaboration across multiple mission-critical projects, based on business needs.

You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Modeling and designing power distribution, security, and life systems, standby generators, and UPS systems.
• Performing calculations and preparing technical documentation.
• Ensuring design accuracy using advanced BIM and electrical engineering tools.
• Collaborating closely with other disciplines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Contributing to the full project lifecycle from schematic design through execution.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or construction.
• Written and spoken English B1 and higher.
• 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry managing complex construction projects with a large electrical and/or mechanical component.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project required.
• Strong experience in Revit is a must.
• MS Access experience is an asset.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starters who are ambitious and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Developing and managing construction schedules for data center projects using Primavera P6, Synchro, and Microsoft Project.
• Using estimating tools to calculate material quantities and labor requirements for project execution.
• Creating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), defining tasks, allocating resources, and establishing activity codes to clarify project scopes.
• Calculating critical path, resource needs, and project slack to ensure timely delivery and resource optimization.
• Generating GANTT charts, resource allocation charts, and other essential reports for project stakeholders.
• Collaborating with BIM teams to integrate project schedules with the Revit BIM model, facilitating the creation of 4D BIM schedules and construction simulations.
