[Hiring] Vice President, Product Management, Platform & Innovation @Appfire

Role Description

Appfire is seeking a Vice President, Product Management, Platform & Innovation to lead three connected areas central to the company’s next phase of growth: the Appfire Platform, the Innovation portfolio, and Appfire’s technical product relationship with Atlassian.

You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Appfire Platform, the shared services and AI capabilities that power our products, accelerate delivery, and create leverage across the portfolio. You will also lead the Innovation team, responsible for discovering, validating, incubating, and launching the next generation of Appfire products.

As Appfire’s senior product leader for the technical dimension of our Atlassian relationship, you will:

• Anticipate platform, API, Forge, and Marketplace changes.
• Represent Appfire in technical and roadmap discussions.
• Translate ecosystem shifts into competitive advantage, product opportunity, and managed risk.

As a member of the Product Leadership Team, you will help shape strategy across the broader portfolio, translate company priorities into focused product bets, and build a high-performing team of product leaders. You will partner closely with Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, Legal, Security, and executive leadership.

Success will be measured by:

• The adoption and business impact of platform capabilities.
• The quality and velocity of the innovation pipeline.
• The revenue and strategic value created by new products launched through your team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible product management experience, including 5+ years leading teams of product managers or product leaders.
• Demonstrated success defining and scaling cloud platforms, shared services, APIs, or developer-facing capabilities in a SaaS, XaaS, or consumption-based business.
• Proven experience taking net-new, 0-to-1 products from discovery through launch, customer adoption, and commercial traction.
• Strong technical fluency across APIs, authentication and authorization, cloud architecture, high availability, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience translating platform investments into measurable outcomes such as revenue growth, faster time to market, increased adoption, improved productivity, lower operating cost, or greater reliability.
• Commercial ownership of a significant software portfolio, including P&L, revenue, or equivalent business accountability.
• Experience owning or contributing to a strategic technology-platform or partner relationship.
• Strong executive judgment and communication skills, with the ability to create alignment through ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex tradeoffs.
• A track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing product teams.

Requirements

• Experience building within the Atlassian ecosystem, including Forge, Marketplace, and Atlassian APIs.
• Experience operating cloud services at significant scale, ideally exceeding 100 million daily service calls.
• Commercial ownership of a XaaS portfolio exceeding $50 million in annual recurring revenue.
• Experience building AI-enabled platform capabilities or commercial AI products.
