Role Description

The SVP, Product Management, Core Banking role is the senior product leader responsible for the strategic direction, squad output, and commercial outcomes of the Core Banking domain at Nymbus.

• Lead multiple squads that build and evolve the core banking engine — deposits, lending, account structures, posting models, settlement, interest accrual, and the fundamental ledger infrastructure.
• Manage Builders directly, collaborate daily with Architects and Shippers, and are accountable for everything your domain ships.
• Operate with four capabilities simultaneously: strategic product leadership, people leadership of Builders, domain subject matter expertise, and AI-first execution.
• Expected to be a hands-on SME in core banking systems.
• Comfortable discussing market strategy with an executive team, walking through an application funnel with a client, diagnosing friction in an onboarding workflow, and working with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Technical product management leadership experience.
• Banking processes and product experience required.
• Experience at product or Fintech organizations.
• Active, hands-on experience with AI-assisted product design and development workflows.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for specification, iteration, and problem-solving.
• 8+ years in product, engineering, or technical leadership roles in core banking or financial services infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on experience with core banking platforms.
• Expert-level understanding of ledger structures, posting models, and double-entry accounting.
• Experience with loan servicing systems.
• Understanding of batch processing, settlement, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Experience with multi-tenant core banking platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting core operations.
• Experience navigating the tradeoffs between configurability, correctness, and performance in core systems.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing product builders, engineers, or technical product managers.
• Track record of building high-performing teams that ship working software.
• Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously.
• Experience making priority tradeoffs across competing demands.
• Comfort with direct accountability for commercial outcomes tied to platform reliability and capability.
• Strong understanding of database design, transaction processing, and distributed systems.
• Deep familiarity with ledger architecture, ACID compliance, and data consistency patterns.
• Ability to engage deeply in technical design discussions.
• Experience with modern development workflows, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
• Understanding of performance engineering for high-volume transaction processing.
