Role Description
The Employee Travel team is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead the Travel applications ecosystem. Candidate will operate closely with product leadership to set strategy, define clear build needs, and translate that vision into actionable requirements for engineering. Candidate will own a prioritized roadmap and drive delivery that balances new feature development, defect remediation, and technical debt reduction. Your work ensures the travel platform’s availability, performance, security, compliance, and seamless integrations across internal systems and external vendors. You will actively partner with and influence a broad set of technical stakeholders—Technical Anchors, Architects, Service Owners, Developers, Middleware, Infrastructure, DBAs, Cybersecurity, and Auditors—communicating complex topics clearly and tailoring depth to the audience. You will also manage vendor teams to high standards of change quality, audit readiness, and service-level performance.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in: Business, Computer Science, or a STEM field

8+ years of technical product or related experience with demonstrated cross-functional leadership

Expert in Agile delivery; proven ability to convert ambiguity into actionable backlogs and iterative delivery

Demonstrated ability to engage at the architecture level (APIs, data models, security controls, performance engineering) and communicate decisions clearly to technical stakeholders
Requirements

Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for MVPs and releases; translate ambiguous business needs into decomposed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Lead solution shaping with architects and engineers across data models, API contracts, identity and access, encryption, performance targets, observability, and operability.

Make and document build/buy and design tradeoffs; articulate risks, dependencies, and downstream implications; gain alignment through structured decision artifacts.

Lead cross-functional delivery using Lean/Agile/XP practices; drive CI/CD, secure SDLC, test automation, documentation, and change-management rigor.

Partner with Service Owners to uphold healthy development and support processes; ensure high-quality production releases and incident-free migrations.

Set, track, and act on engineering health metrics (e.g., deployment frequency, change failure rate, mean time to restore, test coverage).

Work closely with Travel & Expense finance team for reconciliation, ledger integrations. Ensure weekly, monthly LCD cycles are delivered as per business SLA.

Oversee the Travel platform and its integrations, including expense, reservations, and corporate banking/payment systems, corporate card delinquency process (CBCP model).

Partner with Finance to improve reconciliation accuracy, exception reduction, and time-to-close; define data quality controls and reconciliation KPIs.

Ensure integration resiliency and correctness with robust error handling, idempotency, retry/backoff, and observability for end-to-end flows.

Establish and maintain service-level objectives (availability, latency, error rate) and performance baselines, drive tuning and capacity planning.

Coordinate internal/external IT audits and cybersecurity certifications; ensure controls for access, change, and data protection are implemented and evidenced.

Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and patches in collaboration with Infrastructure; maintain business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.

Communicate complex technical topics in clear, concise language tailored to developers, architects, cybersecurity, finance, and leadership.

Produce high-quality RFCs, sequence and data flow diagrams, decision logs, and readiness plans; facilitate effective design and readiness reviews.

Build alignment across diverse stakeholders; synthesize perspectives into a single prioritized view for the engineering teams.
