Role Description
Hipcamp is seeking an experienced and passionate Product Manager to manage our Camper Camp, the technical team that builds our consumer facing app and website. This leader is a true consumer animal, and has the ability to craft and communicate clear visions for how to create the best experience for our campers, both online and off. This leader has a strong strategic intuition and is also fluent in data, and always leverages it to inform and refine strategies but rarely to create them. As a marketplace our core role is matchmaking and that is the focus of your work.

Synthesize and prioritize the needs of our campers to create a world-class experience.

Create, optimize, and iterate on the consumer journey with the highest ROI.

Partner with cross-functional teams such as Analytics and Operations to identify and understand our campers and grow demand in key markets.

Define the team goals, roadmap, and project prioritization and ensure high-quality execution.

Lead a team of engineers, designers, and operations teammates to drive exponential growth.

Act as the in-house subject matter expert on scaling demand in a healthy two-sided marketplace of hosts and campers with different needs.

Define success metrics, analyze performance, experiment, and iterate quickly.

Leverage process and create structures to help teams be the most productive.

Create and articulate a clear product strategy that cuts across the company.

Develop plans that communicate how to deliver compounding value across multiple quarters and multiple departments.
Qualifications

8+ years in Product Management at a consumer product and/or marketplace company.

Strong proven strategic instincts.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.

Proficiency with rapid hypothesis-driven experimentation and analysis.

Strong product sense with an ability to envision technology solutions that address user needs and market opportunities.

Analytical capabilities that break down open-ended problems, complex systems, and make data-driven decisions.

Strong UX and design sense.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Comfort collaborating with a distributed team.

Passion for our mission of getting more people outside.

Can create and execute on a set of company-level OKRs.
