Role Description

Venice is hiring a Staff Product Engineer to help build the next generation of Studio’s creator experience, with an emphasis on video and image creation.

• Build sophisticated, intuitive tools for creators working with generative video and images.
• Shape Venice Studio’s product experience alongside product and design—from identifying useful workflows to shipping them.
• Lead technical design and implementation across frontend and backend systems, including decisions about how creator tools work across web and desktop.
• Work closely with inference engineers to turn model capabilities into useful product features.
• Design within Venice’s privacy constraints, including decisions involving storage, encryption, and cross-device experiences.
• Contribute to adjacent agentic experiences where creator tools and workflows overlap.

Qualifications

• A staff level product engineer with deep TypeScript and React expertise and substantial hands-on Rust experience.
• Experienced building complex creator-facing applications—ideally video editing or generation tools.
• Familiar with major generative video models and experienced integrating GenAI capabilities into an application. You don’t need to train models yourself.
• Comfortable making architecture decisions, writing code, and helping a team move from an ambiguous idea to a shipped product.
• Thoughtful about privacy and able to build compelling experiences within technical constraints.
• Collaborative with product, design, and engineering partners, while able to take initiative without waiting for detailed direction.
• Experience with WebAssembly, Tauri, Swift, cloud infrastructure, or cross-device storage.
