Role Description
As a Senior Product Manager at Overstory you will be leading two teams, working closely with designers, engineers and data scientists to build the Overstory data foundations product. This role will support our vegetation modelling and data ingestion domains as we seek to improve our underlying models and expand the number of data sources we can reliably turn into vegetation intelligence.
- Lead the product development process
- Define customer problems to be solved
- Build consensus around the best way to solve problems and meet business objectives
- Work in an agile manner, learning from customers and iterating quickly
- Decide when to build for a scalable future and when to hack it together
- Write problem statements and balance product discovery with shipping fast
- Define team roadmaps and contribute to product strategy
- Support internal teams during the delivery process
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience
- Experience building a machine learning or AI-powered product
- Experience working at a fast-paced start-up environment
- Experience working on a B2B product
- Strong passion for understanding customer problems and experience leading discovery directly with customers
- Obsessed with shipping fast to learn even faster
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading product strategy and roadmapping sessions
- Proven ability to juggle customer needs with engineering and business constraints
- Based in Europe or US East Coast
Requirements
- Experience building machine learning products for image-based applications, such as computer vision, image recognition, or generative AI (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of GIS technologies (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with complex data ingestion pipelines, including processing diverse and large-scale image datasets from multiple sources (nice-to-have)
