[Hiring] Senior Product Manager- Healthcare Insurance @VSP Vision Care

Role Description

Lead the development and delivery of products and/or services that are market-leading and that maximize value for the enterprise and its customers.

• Define overall product/service vision and strategy, create business plans, make recommendations to management and executive team, and communicate plans both internally and externally
• Effectively lead a cross-functional and/or cross LOB team to ensure the successful delivery of product initiatives, including creating Product Requirements Documents, market positioning, or strategy documents
• May act as a lead for Associate Product Managers or other team members
• Work with business partners and provide direction regarding market positioning, training, and communications to the public for assigned product portfolio
• Serve as a central resource and decision maker for all assigned products and initiatives, and coordinate with business partners to address and resolve product and/or client-specific issues and business rules
• Conduct ongoing market and portfolio evaluation to ensure products remain competitive and meet operational, financial, and market success goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience; graduate degree in business (MBA) is strongly desired
• Six years of experience in product management, marketing, or customer-focused health care
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with project or program management and proven leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze market research and financial information, evaluate profitability, and identify trends
• Demonstrated ability to handle broad, complex, and unstructured tasks ranging from analytical to strategic in nature
• Superior knowledge of product and/or service development methodologies
• Highly skilled at managing products across operational divisions
• Highly skilled at effectively accomplishing objectives through others via influencing, delegating, and strong working relationships
• Proven ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups at all levels of the organization
• Thorough understanding of business implications, project interdependencies, and system interfaces
• Proficient at facilitating meetings and negotiating across all levels of the organization
• Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Requirements

• Senior-level product management experience in vision care, healthcare, or optical industries, with deep familiarity navigating regulated and clinically oriented markets
• Strong proficiency in product reporting, data-driven decision-making, and market analysis, with a proven ability to translate insights into product strategy, business cases, and executive-level recommendations
• Demonstrated success influencing and leading large, cross-functional teams—including Technical, Operations, Clinical, Marketing, and Underwriting—to deliver new products, enhancements, and market-ready solutions
• Experience partnering closely with Sales teams to assess evolving market needs, support customer engagements, and align product strategies to revenue and growth goals
• Track record of owning complex product portfolios, balancing strategic roadmap development with day-to-day operational excellence, and driving measurable product performance improvements

• Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
