About Niche

Niche is the leader in school search. Our mission is to make researching and enrolling in schools easy, transparent, and free. With in-depth profiles on every school and college in America, 140 million reviews and ratings, and powerful search tools, we help millions of people find the right school for them. We also help thousands of schools recruit more best-fit students, by highlighting what makes them great and making it easier to visit and apply.

Niche is all about finding where you belong, and that mission inspires how we operate every day. We want Niche to be a place where people truly enjoy working and can thrive professionally.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to own and optimize the registration experience on Niche, driving both volume and value of user sign-ups. Our platform helps students and families navigate the school search process, connecting them with the right schools and colleges. Registered users fuel our business, as they become valuable leads for school partners to purchase from Niche. In this role, you will ensure visitors can easily sign up while driving high-intent leads for partners and revenue impact.

Your primary responsibility will be to increase total registrations and improve conversion rates by testing and optimizing registration flows across all user acquisition channels. You will own a backlog of experiments, leveraging A/B testing, behavioral insights, and iterative improvements to enhance sign-up efficiency and downstream engagement. You will also experiment with registration flows tied to key value propositions—such as our Direct Admission program and the college searcher mobile app—ensuring diverse, high-intent sign-ups that lead to greater engagement and retention.

As the Product Owner for your team, you’ll work hands-on with designers and developers, leading agile development ceremonies, prioritizing impactful initiatives, and ensuring continuous iteration. You’ll partner closely with Lifecycle Marketing and Product Analytics to deeply understand user behaviors, optimize onboarding experiences, and refine messaging to drive conversion. Additionally, you’ll lead analysis and reporting efforts, tracking key metrics such as registration conversion rates, drop-off points, and post-sign-up engagement. You’ll use these insights to refine strategies, optimize messaging, and inform broader business decisions.

  • Begin to analyze key user and business metrics and monitor results of various releases
  • Collaborate with members of the lifecycle marketing, sales, and product team to gain expertise in our work flows and end users and ensure work stays aligned to the product vision
