[Hiring] Senior Product Manager, Gameplay @Chess.com

Role Description

You love to play chess and want to help others discover that same passion. You understand the full user journey of being a chess player, and different types of players need to experience to find joy in the game. You are intimately familiar with the Chess.com experience and want to help further build out the Gameplay ecosystem.

You have extensive experience as a product manager shipping delightful consumer-facing products. You have worked deeply with design and engineering teams to define what great looks like and you communicate regularly and successfully to executive stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Shape the Gameplay roadmap and vision.
• In close partnership with leadership, shape both the near-term roadmap and the long-term vision for Gameplay at Chess.com. From live games to daily, to bot play, you will own the gameplay experience.
• Bring ideas and sharpen them with the team.
• Operate in public.
• Define success and hold the bar velocity and quality.
• Use AI to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, 4+ shipping consumer-facing products at scale.
• Excellent product taste, especially in the chess context.
• AI-native.
• High-velocity communicator.
• US time zone overlap.

Requirements

• You’ve shipped consumer-facing products to large user bases.
• You know how to balance a quantitative understanding of funnels, metrics, and experimentation with a qualitative feel for what makes a delightful user experience.
• You know what feels good and what doesn't.
• You already use AI daily to prototype, explore ideas, and accelerate execution.
• You communicate clearly and concisely at speed and across many projects.
• This role will have most of its key stakeholders across the US.
