Role Description
Gartner is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Analyst to drive new thought-leading insights around improving supply chain planning processes, organization, and metrics to solve our client’s business challenges. The insights will be mainly targeted to Supply Chain Planning Leaders in different industries globally.
As an industry thought leader in supply chain planning, you will build insights and advise senior supply chain planning leaders on leading trends and best practices in the field around:

Product portfolio planning

Supply and inventory planning

S&OP and S&OE processes
What you’ll do:

Support client’s mission critical priorities of supply chain planning leaders.

Advise Senior Supply Chain planning leaders across all subsectors of manufacturing.

Lead process and capability assessments to help supply chain planning leaders align current performance with desired strategy.

Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have insights” content.

Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership.
-
Conduct in-depth analysis to identify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs.

Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing Insights positions across a team of analysts.

Research, analyze and predict market trends and shifts.
-
Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area.

Create and deliver high value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
-
Support BTI and Sales by providing sales support.
-
Provide high quality and timely content peer review.
-
Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner insights.

Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.

Identify research process improvements or develop new processes.
-
Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members.

Be client-centric while actively seeking to help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights.
Qualifications

12+ years of experience in supply chain planning.

At least 5 years as a supply chain planning leader.

Experience in managing supply chain planning for manufacturers across multiple industries.

Industry experience ideally in high tech, semiconductors, hyperscalers, networks or consumer electronics.

Demonstrate executive presence and establish credibility with executives.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.

Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.

Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data.

Strong communication skills.

Subject matter expertise and comfortable presenting at various engagements.

Strong business and financial acumen.

Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
