[Hiring] Product Marketing Manager @🏒 About the Company

2d ago - 🏒 About the Company is hiring a remote Product Marketing Manager. πŸ’Έ Salary: $2000-2500 per month πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

We are looking for a specialist with strong hands-on Amazon US expertise who can turn promising niches into validated product concepts. Your role is to study the market and customers in greater depth, propose several ways to enter a niche, test them, and make a well-supported recommendation on what product to develop, with which unique selling proposition and positioning. The outcome of your work will be a substantiated concept ready to hand over to Product Development.

Availability: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. New York time for calls and timely communication with colleagues. Tasks that do not depend on other team members may be completed at another convenient time.

Time tracking: A time-tracking system is used.

Team communication is primarily in Russian.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market and Customer Research
    • Analyze niches that have passed the Product Research team’s initial assessment, including competitors’ products and strategies, prices, reviews, search demand, and market trends.
    • Identify unmet customer needs, what buyers value in existing products, and what causes dissatisfaction.
    • Assess the competitive landscape, barriers to entry, risks, and opportunities for differentiation.
    • Research new niches and product ideas independently when needed.
  • Product Concept Development and Positioning
    • Develop alternative product concepts based on market data and customer insights.
    • Define the unique selling proposition, positioning, and visual differentiation, including how the product will stand out in Amazon search results.
    • Propose changes to product features, functionality, bundles, colors, design, and packaging.
    • Define product benefits and permissible marketing claims.
    • Compare potential approaches to entering a niche, taking into account target price, production cost, manufacturing constraints, and commercial viability.
    • Identify opportunities to develop product lines around existing products.
  • Concept Validation
    • Develop hypotheses and plans for testing product concepts.
    • Independently organize research using PickFu, ProductPinion, or similar tools.
    • Test the unique selling proposition, positioning, packaging, visual differentiation, and other elements of a concept.
    • Analyze consumer test results, assess the reliability of the findings, and determine which hypotheses are supported by data and which need further work.
    • Prepare a well-supported recommendation to proceed with development, revise the concept, or abandon the idea.
  • Collaboration and Process Development
    • Work with Product Research and Product Development to identify what additional information is needed to develop a concept.
    • Turn research findings and customer insights into specific product requirements.
    • Assess the feasibility of proposed changes with Product Development, taking manufacturing, financial, and regulatory constraints into account.
    • Hand over approved concepts and test results to Product Development.
    • Build a repeatable process for developing and validating concepts: define requirements for research inputs; document hypotheses, studies, results, and decisions; and improve the quality and speed of concept preparation.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon US and personal involvement in launching physical consumer products.
  • Experience developing product concepts, unique selling propositions, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
  • A deep understanding of the Amazon marketplace, customer behavior, and the factors behind successful product launches.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities that may not be obvious in standard reports.
  • Product-focused and creative thinking.
  • Practical experience testing hypotheses through PickFu, ProductPinion, or similar tools.
  • An understanding of unit economics, production costs, and manufacturing constraints.
  • The ability to develop product concepts independently and support decisions with data.
  • Working English for researching the U.S. market and professional communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience independently identifying and validating new Amazon niches.
  • Experience in Product Research, Product Marketing, or New Product Development.
  • Experience creating physical products from scratch, including their features and packaging.
  • Experience in supplements, wellness, food, or other consumer categories.
  • An understanding of compliance and restrictions on product claims.
  • Experience developing or expanding product lines.
  • Experience working with manufacturers, designers, and Brand teams.
  • Involvement in marketing preparation and commercialization after product development.

Expectations for the First 90 Days

  • First 10 working days: Analyze two niches that have passed initial validation, identify customer needs and differentiation opportunities, propose product concepts and unique selling propositions, and prepare a testing plan for the first concept.
  • First month: Conduct the first rounds of concept development and testing, prepare recommendations, and begin establishing a methodology for developing unique selling propositions, visual differentiation, and positioning.
  • By the third month: Independently develop concepts in agreed categories, organize research findings, and establish a process for handing substantiated concepts over to Product Development.

How We Measure Success

A completed concept should include a validated customer need, a clear competitive advantage, a well-supported unique selling proposition and visual differentiation, consumer test results, realistic economics that account for manufacturing constraints, and a recommendation on whether to proceed with development.

Benefits

  • 27 days of paid annual leave.
  • Access to the tools needed for your work.
  • Access to specialized e-commerce courses.
  • Clear processes and a framework for making decisions.
  • A team where you can discuss ideas and learn from colleagues.
  • The opportunity to influence business results through product decisions.
  • The opportunity to contribute to new product directions and the development of product lines.

If you have hands-on Amazon US experience and enjoy turning customer insights into products with a clear competitive advantage, we would love to hear from you. Apply now!

If you haven’t received a response from our team within 5 working days after applying, please message us here: Check your application status. We value every candidate and will ensure your application status is checked and updated.
