[Hiring] Product Marketing Leader @GE Vernova

3d ago - GE Vernova is hiring a remote Product Marketing Leader. 💸 Salary: usd 128,600 - 214,200 per year 📍Location: USA

Role Description

The Product Marketing and Branding Lead ensures the HVDC, FACTS, Services and ACIS portfolio is communicated with a consistent, credible, and differentiated brand voice across all external channels. The role packages value propositions and technical content developed by Solution Lines and Value Proposition Leaders into customer-facing materials, manages the publication and standardization engagement programme, and executes product launches, branding, and sales-enablement production.

The role will work closely with the respective Value Proposition/Solution Leaders who own the solution strategy, roadmap, or segment-level value proposition content. Furthermore, a close collaboration is expected with the Director of Market Intelligence and the GSI Communications Manager and Grid MarComms Manager. The role will report directly into the GSI Chief Technology Officer with a dotted line to the GSI Chief Commercial Officer.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in product marketing, strategic marketing, product management or business development within HVDC, FACTS, high-voltage equipment, grid technologies or a comparable engineered-systems industry.
  • Understanding of utility customers, transmission-system applications and long-cycle project businesses.
  • Ability to understand complex technical subjects and translate them into clear customer and commercial value.
  • Experience in market segmentation, competitive positioning, value propositions and go-to-market planning.
  • Evidence of influencing product or technology roadmaps through market insight.
  • Experience organizing customer forums, user groups, seminars or industry working groups.
  • Familiarity with organizations such as IEC, IEEE and CIGRE; a record of technical or industry publication is advantageous.
  • Strong writing, presentation, facilitation and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Relevant qualification in engineering, business, marketing or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Requirements

  • Market insight and portfolio positioning:
    • Together with Value Proposition/Solution Owners, the Global Sales Segment Leaders and the Marketing team, develop a structured view of the global HVDC, FACTS, Services and ACIS markets, including applications, customer segments, regional dynamics, competitors and investment drivers.
    • Define differentiated marketing and branding positioning for the portfolio based on its value propositions and its principal offerings.
    • Ensure that external claims are credible, supported by evidence and aligned with approved product capability and maturity.
  • Technical-community engagement:
    • Support Regions and Value Proposition/Solution Owners in establishing customer user groups where operators and specialists can exchange experience, discuss future needs and provide structured feedback.
    • Support Value Proposition/Solution Owners in organizing technical seminars, workshops, webinars and engineering forums addressing important industry challenges, not solely company products.
    • Connect customer specialists directly with the company’s senior technical experts, Solution Owners and Product Owners.
    • Coordinate and monitor attendance of conferences, exhibitions, customer forums and other external events to ensure adequate coverage and manage presence.
    • Support Consulting Engineers in coordinating participation in relevant IEC, IEEE, CIGRE and other standardization committees and industry trade associations and working groups.
    • Support Solution Owners in developing and executing a publication programme covering technical papers, application guides, industry reports and, where appropriate, books or reference works.
    • Support technical experts in developing credible external content while protecting confidential information and intellectual property.
    • Capture insights from these activities and feed them into Product Owners and Solution Owners to support portfolio and roadmap decisions.
    • Define and manage customer experience during visits to GE Vernova GSI sites.
  • Commercialization and sales enablement:
    • Support go-to-market planning for new products, features and platform releases in partnership with Product Owners, Solution Owners, Sales and Engineering.
    • Execute product and feature launches.
    • In conjunction with the Solutions Line and the Sales Segment Leader and Marketing team, identify leads, define priority segments, lighthouse customers, launch requirements, technical evidence and adoption objectives.
    • Assess product–market fit and commercial readiness before active promotion.
    • Maintain up to date photo library for use in sales enablement materials and external communications.
    • Actively contribute to competition mapping vs our solutions (e.g. battle-cards).
    • Train commercial teams to communicate technical differentiation in clear customer and economic terms.
    • Establish a consistent process for gathering market feedback from sales teams.
  • Brand and thought leadership:
    • Strengthen the company’s reputation as a trusted technology leader in HVDC, FACTS and inverter-based transmission.
    • Develop and maintain clear portfolio naming, messaging and brand architecture in alignment with the corporate brand.
    • Define the design and ensure up to date content of AppDash.
    • Ensure consistency across presentations, brochures, websites, publications, exhibitions and customer engagements.
    • Coordinate GE Vernova Grid Systems Integration technical books and reference works (LCC, VSC,…).
    • Develop thought leadership opportunities with senior leaders and technical experts around important market and technology themes.
    • Measure the quality, reach and commercial contribution of product-marketing and technical-engagement activities.
    • Manage TradeMark registration.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
  • Access to Health Coach from GE Vernova, a 24/7 nurse-based resource.
  • Access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services.
  • Retirement benefits including the GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan, a tax-advantaged 401(k) savings opportunity with company matching contributions and company retirement contributions.

  • Paid parental leave.
  • Disability benefits.
