Role Description

Join the team as our next Data Platform Product Manager in the Data Governance and Insights team. This position is needed to drive Data Insights and Twilio's Data Governance initiatives across Twilio. You will touch many teams within Twilio to ensure safe customer data handling, supporting data privacy and compliance. This team manages data pipeline security, data reliability, and ensuring access controls.

• Champion customer-facing product development that will reduce time to insights.
• Own the cradle to grave product lifecycle for insights platforms.
• Understand the needs of our end customers in the global communications market and build a platform to help internal teams manage and leverage their data to derive meaningful insights.
• Support Data Governance initiative for data pipelines and insights products, working with product managers and engineering counterparts across various organizations and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced company.
• Experience with data platforms, customer engagement platforms, or streaming applications.
• Proficiency in the big data ecosystem e.g. Kafka, ElasticSearch, Clickhouse, Spark, Presto/Athena, or similar technologies.
• Technically savvy and experienced with the cloud, APIs, communications, enterprise software, data reliability, and ETL techniques.
• Customer-oriented approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and articulate a vision to solve them.
• Background in Data Governance, including cataloging metadata, data reliability, sensitive data classification, and access management.
• Ability to solicit customer requirements from many sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver.
• Experience with a data insights product with a large user base.
• Strategic problem solver with the ability to operate in broad scope, from conception through continuous operation of 24x7 services.
• Aptitude to navigate uncharted waters and solve sophisticated problems.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana State, Maharashtra, and New Delhi).
