[Hiring] Product Lead @Higher People

Role Description

We're hiring our first dedicated Product Lead to own the consumer app and the growth loops that power it. You'll report to the Head of Product, set direction, and operate with a lot of autonomy in a 0-1 environment where process is still being built. This is an individual owner role today, with room to grow a team beneath you as we scale.

You'll start focused on consumer growth, acquisition, activation, retention, and the reward and loyalty mechanics that drive them, and own those surfaces end to end.

We build with AI, and we expect you to as well. That means using AI to move faster in your own workflow (research, analysis, prototyping, spec writing) and thinking natively about where AI and agentic experiences belong in the growth loops, from personalized onboarding and activation to AI-driven engagement and retention. This is a role for someone who treats AI as core to how they work and what they build, not a bolt-on.

What you'll do

• Own the consumer app and its growth loops end to end: discovery, scoping, shipping, and tracking performance post-launch
• Move acquisition, activation, and retention through fast experimentation and a clear point of view
• Reason about reward and loyalty economics, balancing consumer engagement against brand-side cost and margin
• Run lean, fast user research and translate it into clear product direction
• Work cross-functionally with eng, design, data, and brand partners to get things across the finish line
• Pull your own data, write SQL when you need to, and come to the table with a point of view
• Drive GTM coordination and product packaging for new features

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of product experience, or equivalent trajectory, ideally in consumer or a consumer marketplace / b2b2c environment
• Strong growth instincts: you understand and can move retention, acquisition, conversion, and engagement levers
• AI-fluent and comfortable using AI in your daily workflow (research, analysis, prototyping, writing), with a real point of view on building agentic products and AI-driven experiences
• Ability to reason about reward, loyalty, and two-sided economics, weighing consumer value against brand-side cost
• Consumer-first mindset with the ability to also think about brand and operator needs
• Comfortable in a 0-1 environment, scrappy and self-sufficient: you don't wait for a data analyst to pull numbers for you
• Experience running user interviews and synthesizing fast
• Strong communicator who can align stakeholders without hand-holding

Nice to have

• Experience with community, social, or creator platforms
• Hands-on experience building reward or loyalty mechanics
• Early-stage startup experience

Compensation

$200K–$250K base, depending on experience and location, plus meaningful equity.
