[Hiring] Product Director, AI and Data Products @StarCompliance

Role Description

We are looking for a Product Director, AI & Data Products to define, validate, and drive the roadmap for AI-first products across the StarCompliance platform. This is a highly strategic and execution-oriented role.

• Work hand-in-hand with the Head of Data & AI as the product counterpart to a dedicated technical leader.
• Identify customer problems where AI can materially improve efficiency, effectiveness, decision quality, automation, insight generation, and risk detection.
• Identify new AI-enabled products, SKUs, and commercial opportunities that StarCompliance does not currently support.
• Partner with existing Product Managers to embed AI capabilities into their product areas.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Product Strategy & Roadmap:
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for AI and data-driven products.
  • Identify new AI-first product opportunities.
  • Refine and validate product concepts that use AI at the core.
  • Prioritise opportunities based on customer value, commercial potential, technical feasibility, regulatory sensitivity, and strategic fit.
• Customer, Market & Commercial Discovery:
  • Interface directly with customers, prospects, partners, industry experts, and internal commercial teams.
  • Evaluate market readiness, willingness to pay, competitive positioning, packaging, and monetisation potential for new AI use cases.
  • Translate market insight into well-structured product requirements, commercial cases, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of how regulated organisations adopt AI.
• Product Delivery & Execution:
  • Partner closely with the Head of Data & AI to move AI product concepts from discovery through delivery.
  • Work with various teams to deliver production-grade AI capabilities in a regulated B2B SaaS environment.
  • Ensure AI products are explainable, trustworthy, auditable, usable, and aligned with customer workflows.
• Cross-Product AI Enablement:
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to identify where AI can enhance existing products and workflows.
  • Create reusable product patterns, discovery approaches, and launch practices for AI features.
  • Support consistent positioning and governance of AI capabilities across the StarCompliance product portfolio.
• Executive & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Communicate AI product strategy, roadmap trade-offs, business cases, delivery progress, and measurable outcomes to senior executives.
  • Partner with various leaders to align AI investments with business priorities.
  • Represent the AI product roadmap in executive discussions and strategic planning forums.

Qualifications

• Proven success as a Product Manager in B2B software.
• Strong product discovery skills.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into clear product strategies.
• Strong commercial instincts.

Requirements

• Established track record delivering or managing B2B AI, data, analytics, automation, or machine learning products.
• Strong practical understanding of AI product patterns.
• Comfortable discussing AI product risks with enough technical fluency.
• Experience building software for financial services, compliance, regtech, or similarly regulated domains.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Confident executive presence.
• Highly structured thinker.

Preferred Experience

• Launching commercial AI products or AI-enabled modules in B2B SaaS.
• Working in private equity-backed or high-growth software businesses.
• Familiarity with compliance workflows.
