Role Description

The Product Director will drive strategy for Cotiviti’s Payment Integrity Client platform product roadmap. This individual will have responsibility and leadership for understanding and prioritizing market needs, performing competitive analysis, performing product discovery, supporting design, delivering business cases and leading delivery and commercial product launches for new products and capabilities.

Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Product, this individual will have ownership and accountability for product vision, features and functions, packaging, and market impact for enhancements to client-facing platforms and future modules. This includes dashboarding, analytics and reporting capabilities delivered through the platform. They will work closely with development teams to ensure product solutions meet market requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate a unique blend of leadership, product and market domain expertise, business acumen, creativity, business judgment, entrepreneurial spirit, industry knowledge, and analytical knowledge. This individual will have an understanding of the healthcare system and payer environment and possess a passion for analysis, analytics and defining new solutions.

Responsibilities

• Vision: Leverages subject matter expertise to provide input into Cotiviti’s strategic plan for client-facing platforms; collaborates with executive leadership to develop and track financial and non-financial success measurements. Acts as an evangelist for the Voice of the Customer in product management.
• Represent Market Needs: Work with Marketing, Product Strategy and GTM teams to understand market needs for Analytics solutions. Gather requirements from internal and external customers to address market problems and challenges, ensuring requirements are documented in epics and features.
• Manage and Perform Analysis: Perform detailed product and content analysis to support exploration, evaluation and development of new solutions. Triage requests and distribute across internal analysis resources.
• Define Product Solutions: Conduct product research to understand solution profile and market requirements. Develop market and business requirements for acceptance into products, maintain detailed user personas and scenarios, and provide solution guidance and support for other departments.
• Product Launch: Support operational and technical teams in delivering targeted outcomes via Agile development process. Ensure new analytics capabilities and solutions meet business and product requirements.
• Go to Market: Establish overall Go-to-Market strategy for all products within the strategic solutions set. Own definition of customer experience for End-to-End solutions.
• Team leadership: Collaborate with Launch Project Managers to ensure delivery of operational aspects of programs. Evaluate launch programs and assist SVP, Product Management in continuously improving processes.
• Quality: Work closely with technology, operations, and senior leadership to ensure releases are of the highest quality.
• Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
• Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience required; Master of Business Administration degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of claims data and its application in validating payment accuracy concepts.
• Self-motivated and passionate about creating solutions for diverse healthcare problems.
• Demonstrated success defining market strategy and leading product management for successful market-facing products.
• Strong understanding of health insurance, managed care model, and industry coding/policy standards.
• Experience working in a software development environment; healthcare experience preferred.
• Proactive leader with proven experience in strategic and tactical leadership.
• Strong ability to summarize and communicate complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Product Management, Operations, or Professional Services teams.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience preferred in healthcare industry with previous leadership experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with healthcare data and analysis including business intelligence.
• Experience with software and product development lifecycles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time.
• Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. without assistance.

• Base compensation ranges from $137,000 to $184,000 per year.
