[Hiring] Principal Product Manager, Member Experience @Vida Health

Role Description

Vida Health is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Member Experience to own the strategy and the execution of our member-facing product. You'll drive engagement, retention, and health outcomes for hundreds of thousands of members across Vida's clinical and behavioral programs.

The Member Experience team owns the whole consumer journey, from onboarding through long-term engagement and retention. You'll report to the Director, Member Experience, and be the member experience's most senior product thinker. You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Clinical to ship high-impact improvements and to define the member side of Vida 2.0.

This is a senior, hands-on IC role. You'll set direction for the member experience and also do the work yourself: run the backlog, dig into the data, design experiments, and ship. No PMs report to you. We're looking for someone who is as comfortable writing SQL and triaging a release as they are presenting a multi-year vision to the exec team.

Responsibilities:

• Own the vision and strategy for the member experience and tie it to Vida 2.0.
• Shape prioritization for the member experience's biggest bets.
• Set the member experience OKRs, tie them to company strategy, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes.
• Lead competitive and market thinking for the member experience and turn it into product direction.
• Own the member experience backlog and roadmap end to end.
• Keep the product quality bar high.
• Work with Engineering and Design to keep velocity up, unblock delivery, and make hard technical tradeoffs.
• Turn client requests and stakeholder input into well-scoped product work.
• Lead complex cross-functional launches.
• Own the member experience metrics: engagement, retention, churn, activation, and NPS.
• Do the analysis yourself using SQL, Looker, and PostHog.
• Build and maintain the member experience dashboards.
• Design, run, and interpret Vida's most complex experiments.
• Define success metrics for the member experience's biggest bets.
• Size opportunities credibly and precisely.
• Define the most important problems in the member journey.
• Plan and run user research yourself.
• Pull together behavioral data, research, clinical input, client needs, and competitive analysis.
• Build empathy for members across the company through storytelling and advocacy.
• Drive alignment with senior stakeholders across Clinical, Customer Success, Marketing, and the exec team.
• Work with the Client and Provider product groups.
• Set the standard for great product work at Vida.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at a minimum.
• 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years owning consumer or patient-facing digital products.
• Proven record of measurably improving engagement, retention, or activation at scale.
• Strong hands-on analytics skills.
• Experience owning a product's whole lifecycle.
• Experience influencing exec and company-level decisions without formal authority.
• Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, or AI/ML-powered product features.
• Exceptional writer and communicator.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Preferred

• Healthcare or digital health experience.
• Deep familiarity with behavioral design frameworks.
• Background in B2B2C products.
• Experience with React Native or mobile app development workflows.

Compensation

• $200,000 - $210,000 a year
