Role Description

The Lounge by Zalando Demand Tech team owns services dedicated to delivering “The Right Message to The Right People at The Right Time” on a global scale. We oversee the process of bringing exciting offers to over a million users daily through sophisticated, data-driven marketing automation. We are growing rapidly and are searching for a Principal Product Manager with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building and iterating on the next generation of our marketing communication platform.

Your Mission:

• Tackle complex problems in high-volume user interactions (e.g., multi-channel campaigns, real-time push notifications).
• Ensure maximum impact through personalization and continuous optimization.
• Develop services that manage communications with Lounge by Zalando users across various countries, driving engagement, conversion, and growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record of driving product discovery and leveraging both successes and failures to deliver impactful solutions.
• Proven expertise in automating multi-channel campaigns, showing deep familiarity with common marketing tools, platforms, and growth tactics.
• Skilled at interpreting complex data, designing experiments to validate assumptions, and adapting messages to different audiences with clarity and precision.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, microservices, and data models; adept at integrating marketing technologies and analyzing complex data flows.
• Over 7 years of Product Management experience, including insights gained from both triumphs and setbacks.

Requirements

• Collaborate on the product roadmap, propose innovative automation strategies, and pivot swiftly based on data-driven insights.
• Gather and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, establish clear KPIs (CTR, CPA, ROI), and foster a culture of A/B testing and iterative improvements.
• Partner with engineering to prioritize features aligned with business goals, ensuring technical requirements (APIs, microservices) are met for scalable marketing integrations.
• Coordinate with marketing, design, and data science teams to deliver seamless multi-channel campaigns, while regularly updating all stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
• Leverage AI/ML for hyper-personalized messaging, dynamic segmentation, and automated page optimization, continuously refining strategies based on real-time user behavior.
• Guide junior and mid-level team members through structured coaching and feedback, cultivating a resilient, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture.
