Role Description

Hi, I'm Kas Pawa, VP Insights & Ops here at Jane. I lead several cross-functional initiatives at Jane, including our Market Owner team. This team is all about keeping the customer at the center of everything we do. The Market Owner acts as a General Manager for a specific customer segment, deeply knowing the ins and outs of the customer experience and internally advocating for their customers across Jane’s functions to ensure we are bringing the best of Jane to every customer.

Each Market Owner is the internal champion for their segment:

• Obsessively tracking the metrics that matter.
• Building deep customer understanding.
• Driving a coordinated strategy across our Customer, Marketing, and Product teams to improve outcomes in their market.
• Connecting the dots across time horizons, from what's happening with customers right now to how we show up in market over the next six months, to what we need to build over the next year.

Manual Therapy (including physical therapy, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and related disciplines) and Mental Health represent two of Jane's largest and most important segments. We're looking for someone who knows either (or both!) of these worlds deeply, cares about the practitioners in it, and is ready to own the strategy and outcomes for it. What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

• Own the Canadian Manual Therapy and Mental Health markets end-to-end — set annual goals around key market metrics, obsessively track performance, and adjust strategy and tactics as needed to drive outcomes.
• Build deep market and customer understanding — develop and maintain a nuanced, research-backed view of manual therapy and mental health practitioner needs, workflows, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities that goes beyond what any single department can see.
• Shape and execute go-to-market strategy — partner with Marketing to define how Jane shows up in the manual therapy and mental health markets, and work with our Customer teams to translate strategy into on-the-ground execution.
• Be the voice of the market internally — represent Canadian manual therapy and mental health practitioners across Product, Marketing, and Customer teams. Bring a clear, evidence-based point of view on product-market fit and advocate for the roadmap priorities that will move the needle.
• Balance strategy across three time horizons — align with the Customer team on immediate needs, inform Marketing programs on a now/3/6-month horizon, and help shape longer-term Product priorities.
• Surface emerging opportunities and hypotheses — identify partnership ideas, unmet needs, and new growth vectors in the manual therapy and mental health space and help chase them down.
• Represent Jane in the market — attend key industry events, conferences, and community touchpoints in the manual therapy and mental health space to build trust, deepen relationships, and strengthen Jane's position.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in a top tier strategy consulting firm alongside 2+ years in market strategy, general management, or a product marketing role (preferably in B2B SaaS).
• Comfort with managing to metrics — you're comfortable setting goals around metrics, diagnosing what the numbers are telling you, and adjusting strategy accordingly.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies — you've worked cross-functionally to bring a plan to life and can point to measurable outcomes from your work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you can distill complex market dynamics into clear narratives that align teams and drive decisions.
• Experience working across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer teams — you understand how to influence without direct authority and thrive in cross-functional environments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action — you can operate effectively even when the playbook isn't fully written and you know how to make progress with incomplete information.
• (nice to have) Former GM experience or prior experience managing a P&L - whether of a small business or a tech company segment.
• (nice to have) Deep familiarity with the manual therapy, mental health, or allied health landscape — you understand how physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, mental health, or similar practices operate, what drives growth, and what challenges practitioners face day-to-day.
• (nice to have) Former practitioner or operations leader in a manual therapy or mental health clinic.

Benefits

• Annual salary range of $162,400 to $218,000.
• Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $190,000.
