Role Description

As the Lead Director, Digital Product – Specialty Care and Partnerships, Medical Cost Initiatives, you will lead the technology product strategy and execution for specialty referrals and external partnerships to drive high quality care for patients cared for by CVS HCD business lines. Core areas of focus are:

• Ambulatory referrals
• eConsults
• Curation of a referral network with cost, quality, and coverage data
• Curating partnerships and establishing seamless integration with external partners

In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with clinical and business operational leaders to shape end-to-end technology pathways that support CVS Healthcare Delivery care models. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to translate clinical vision into scalable technology roadmaps that optimize patient outcomes and lower the total cost of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership & Care Model Integration:
  • Partner with healthcare delivery leadership to collaborate on end-to-end care models across specialty care and strategic care partnerships.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner with CVS HCD business stakeholders.
  • Establish shared outcome metrics with business leaders.
• Product & Technology Leadership:
  • Lead multidisciplinary technology teams to build seamless clinical technology pathways.
  • Oversee the transformation of broad clinical ideas into actionable product specifications.
  • Ensure smooth integration between external data sources and internal Epic workflows.
  • Lead the development of reporting to drive clinical care delivery.
  • Think outside the box to improve the experience of clinical care delivery.
• Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement:
  • Take end-to-end accountability for the technology lifecycle.
  • Establish continuous feedback loops and iterative improvement cycles.
  • Maintain a deep operational understanding of both Value-Based Care (VBC) and Fee-for-Service (FFS) delivery environments.
• Team Leadership & Culture:
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing product team.
  • Foster a team culture grounded in curiosity, resilience, problem-solving, and joy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate, influence, and build trust with senior executive stakeholders and frontline team members.
• Hands-on experience with Epic EHR workflows and module configurations.
• Deep familiarity with clinical operations, Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies, and medical cost initiative care pathways.
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-scale technology backed clinical interventions.
• Exceptional analytical rigor and ability to frame ambiguous clinical challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, optimism, and rigor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree and/or clinical background preferred (RN, MD, DO, NP, PA).
• 8-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, clinical technology product management, and enterprise EHR implementation (specifically Epic).
• Proven history of partnering with primary care delivery networks, retail clinics, or value-based care organizations.
