Role Description

As the Lead Director of Digital Product for Clinic Operations and Ambulatory Workflows you will lead the technology product strategy and execution for core clinical care delivery products, including core in-clinic and virtual care encounters, in-basket management, and inventory management.

In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with clinical and business operational leaders to shape end-to-end technology pathways that support the delivery of safe, high quality outpatient care. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of product managers, Epic analysts, software engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to translate clinical vision into scalable technology roadmaps that optimize patient outcomes, with an emphasis on safety, a delightful patient and care team experience, and lowering the total cost of care.

The candidate must have expertise with value-based care models and Epic as a core care delivery platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership & Care Model Integration:
  • Partner with healthcare delivery leadership to collaborate on end-to-end care models to ensure the execution of efficient and safe care delivery in an outpatient setting.
  • Reduce administrative burden for the care team.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for CVS HCD business stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-functional technology teams that surface technology solutions.
  • Establish shared outcome metrics with business leaders.
• Product & Technology Leadership:
  • Lead multidisciplinary technology teams to build seamless, end-to-end clinical technology pathways.
  • Oversee the transformation of broad clinical ideas into rigorous problem statements.
  • Accountable for end-to-end technology design and translation into technical requirements.
  • Ensure smooth integration between external data sources and internal Epic workflows.
• Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement:
  • Take end-to-end accountability for the technology lifecycle.
  • Establish continuous feedback loops and iterative improvement cycles.
  • Maintain a deep operational understanding of both Value-Based Care (VBC) and Fee-for-Service (FFS) delivery environments.
• Team Leadership & Culture:
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing product team.
  • Foster a team culture grounded in curiosity, resilience, problem-solving, and joy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate, influence, and build trust with senior executive stakeholders and frontline team members.
• Hands-on experience with Epic EHR workflows and module configurations.
• Deep familiarity with clinical operations, Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies, and Value-Based Care (VBC) constructs.
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-scale technology backed clinical interventions.
• Exceptional analytical rigor; ability to frame ambiguous clinical challenges into structured problem statements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, optimism, and rigor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree and/or clinical background preferred (RN, MD, DO, NP, PA).
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience spanning healthcare operations, clinical technology product management, and enterprise EHR implementation (specifically Epic).
• Proven history of partnering with primary care delivery networks, retail clinics, and/or value-based care organizations.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
