Role Description

As a Director of Technical Product Ownership (US-remote), you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!

• Drive the technical product strategy and execution of ACI’s bill payment products and platforms.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of Technical Product Owners.
• Translate product strategy into scalable platform capabilities delivered through modern SaaS development practices.
• Ensure the platform evolves to support the growing demands of billers, partners, and consumers while delivering reliable, secure, high-scale payment experiences.
• Lead and scale a high-performing team responsible for delivering platform capabilities that power ACI’s bill payment solutions.
• Ensure complex capabilities are translated into clear technical direction, well-defined product requirements, and predictable delivery.
• Drive alignment across product management, engineering, architecture, and operations.
• Focus on technical product strategy and platform delivery, partnering closely with product leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product ownership, technical product management, or related roles delivering complex technology platforms.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing Technical Product Owner or product delivery teams.
• Strong background in payments, fintech, or financial services platforms.
• Demonstrated experience delivering and scaling cloud-based, API-driven, SaaS platforms.
• Deep understanding of modern product development practices, including Agile delivery frameworks.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to partner effectively with engineering and architecture leaders.
• Proven ability to translate strategic initiatives into scalable platform capabilities.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Direct experience with bill payment platforms or large-scale payment ecosystems.
• Experience modernizing or scaling legacy payment or financial services platforms.
• Hands-on experience with real-time payments, ACH, card networks, and emerging payment rails.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, and headless or API-first platform designs.
• Experience operating in highly regulated environments requiring strong reliability, compliance, and operational rigor.
• Background working in global, matrixed technology organizations.
• Strong executive presence with experience communicating technical product strategy to senior leadership.
