Role Description

Join the team as our next Director of Product Management on Twilio’s Phone Numbers team. This position is needed to develop and deliver on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Twilio’s phone numbers products.

Twilio is looking for a Director of Product to lead the Phone Numbers product team. Phone Numbers is the gateway to all of our Communications business, where different sender types around the world are needed to unlock messaging and voice communications. You will understand the needs of our customers and build products that solve that need at global scale. Leading a team of product managers and working with engineering counterparts, you will craft and deliver on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Messaging at Twilio.

This role will work cross-functionally with teams across Twilio to understand phone number needs and enable customers to get numbers when and wherever they need. This role will help take our Communications business to the next level of growth, while working with some of the world's leading organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the strategy and roadmap of Twilio’s phone number products, taking into account Twilio’s global growth strategy, regulatory needs, and scalable operations that make our customers successful on Twilio.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Legal, and the rest of Communications Product teams to ensure alignment on the best strategic direction and market opportunities.
• Launch innovative phone number products from the infrastructure layer up and lead critical new initiatives for Twilio that open up new markets.
• Be the voice of the customer in every conversation and decision, and ensure we build world class products that our customers love and value.
• Manage a global team of product managers and mentor them to succeed in building and executing to the vision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of Product Management or related experience building customer-facing cloud products for businesses (B2B) or developers.
• Experience growing a team of product managers.
• Experience with highly technical, multi-workstream product launches; distributed systems experience a plus.
• You can translate between the technical details, customer problems, and business impact of the team’s work.
• You are a strong communicator, able to explain fundamental reasons behind your decisions.
• You are organized and comfortable working with exec-level stakeholders and drive deep customer relationships.
• You can build highly leveraged products that can be used as the cornerstone for customers and internal teams alike.
• You’re not shy about diving in deep with engineering, sales, legal, or the customer.
• You can run a tight ship, prioritizing a robust stream of work into cohesive, incremental releases.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Requirements

• Experience building products/services related to APIs, developer experience.
• Experience working with telecommunications or other regulated ecosystems.

Location

This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Travel

For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

Compensation

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

• Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C.: $227,840.00-$248,800.00.
• Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $241,200.00-$301,500.00.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $268,000.00-$335,000.00.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
