At Young Life, our mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. We invite you to join us in this life-changing work, building relationships and creating spaces where young people feel seen, known, and loved.

  • Set Product Strategy for External Experiences:
    • Defines a multi-year product strategy for the .org web presence, marketing technology, and sponsorship programs, grounded in audience needs, mission priorities, and evidence.
    • Maps the journeys external audiences take across these experiences, identifying duplicated pathways, handoffs, and points of friction.
    • Makes explicit recommendations to build, buy, reuse, consolidate, redesign, defer, or retire, based on audience value, cost, risk, and lifecycle health.
  • Lead and Develop Team:
    • Leads a team that owns each external product area, setting clear ownership, priorities, and performance expectations.
    • Builds a product practice with consistent discovery, prioritization, experimentation, adoption measurement, and release standards.
    • Develops a team to independently lead significant products and make sound tradeoffs without constant direct involvement.
  • Deliver Giving and Sponsorship Experiences:
    • Owns the product strategy for sponsorship programs in partnership with Finance, the Payments & Financial Infrastructure team, and Development.
    • Designs sponsorship and giving flows that are clear to supporters, accessible, secure, and measurable.

  • Partner on Feasibility, Architecture, and Operations:
    • Partners with engineering teams on technical feasibility, estimates, architecture, and the build, buy, reuse, and retirement decisions for external platforms.
    • Shapes commitments with engineering teams from discovery through release, agreeing on completion evidence before dates are committed.
    • Requires launch readiness for external experiences, covering user acceptance, accessibility, privacy and consent, performance, content quality, support knowledge, and ownership.
  • Manage Budget and Investment:
    • Shares responsibility for the Product & Experience budget with the leadership.
    • Makes investment tradeoffs visible, covering build cost, vendor and tool cost, ongoing support, and transition cost.
    • Directs funds toward the highest-value outcomes and escalates material decisions with a recommendation and the consequence of delay.
  • Establish Standards and Measure Outcomes:
    • Sets standards for accessibility, privacy and consent, content quality, search visibility, analytics, and brand consistency across external experiences.
    • Defines and reports outcomes: audience reach, conversion, sponsorship and giving results, and trust.
    • Consolidates the tool and vendor portfolio for external experiences, retiring products that no longer earn their cost.
    • Uses approved AI tools to improve research, content, experimentation, and analysis, with review, data protection, and human accountability.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Manages professional teams composed of individual contributors and/or supervisors.
    • Sets clear ownership, priorities, and performance expectations, and delegates real authority.
    • Participates in the interview and selection process, provides training and mentorship, offers career development guidance, and is engaged in performance management.
    • Provides timely and constructive coaching and feedback; develops staff and provides challenging opportunities.
