Role Description

As Coursedog’s Business Systems Lead, you’ll own and evolve the systems that power our revenue engine, with a primary focus on Salesforce. This is a player-coach role that blends product ownership, delivery leadership, and hands-on building.

• Shape the Salesforce roadmap and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Ensure systems enable teams to move efficiently and make data-driven decisions.
• Carry operational ownership across the full GTM systems ecosystem.
• Partner closely with GTM, Customer Experience, Finance, Operations, and Product & Engineering.
• Own day-to-day operations, delivery, and stakeholder relationships across the systems portfolio.
• Lead a small offshore team and continuously improve system design, build, and maintenance.
• Focus on AI and automation to modernize workflows and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience in a high-growth SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with business systems beyond Salesforce.
• Measurable experience designing and building Salesforce solutions.
• Proven experience owning a systems roadmap and managing a backlog.
• Familiarity with Apex, SOQL, and platform limitations.
• Strong understanding of GTM systems and processes.
• Experience managing or coordinating distributed teams.
• Hands-on experience with data governance.
• Experience leveraging AI tools or Salesforce AI capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Salesforce Product Ownership
• Own the Salesforce product roadmap and manage the systems team’s Jira sprint cadence.
• Lead stakeholder discovery sessions and write user stories.
• Map current-state and future-state workflows.
• Coordinate UAT, release readiness, and post-launch adoption.
• Serve as the communication hub between business stakeholders and the delivery team.
• Systems Ownership
• Maintain operational health across Coursedog's GTM systems portfolio.
• Serve as the technical delivery partner for functional leads.
• Maintain working familiarity with integration and automation tooling.
• Own the prioritization of GTM systems work.
• Approach the systems portfolio with curiosity and a bias toward simplification.
• Delivery Management
• Direct and coordinate a team of offshore Salesforce Administrators/Developers.
• Own the systems team’s Jira board end-to-end.
• Write tickets and specs with enough clarity for execution.
• Hands-On Building
• Design and build complex Salesforce Flows.
• Own object design, field management, and validation rules.
• Build reports and dashboards tied to real KPIs.
• Define requirements and review technical designs for integrations.
• Audit the org for tech debt and systematically fix issues.
• AI & Automation
• Identify, design, and deploy AI agent use cases.
• Map manual, repetitive GTM processes and build autonomous agent flows.
• Stay current on Salesforce platform releases and evaluate new AI capabilities.
